Increasing Brand Awareness
The Process
This blog was written specifically for the phrase “Scoping review vs systematic review” in 2023.
As an informational intent key phrase, the goal of the blog was to help those searching for the differences, benefits and times for when to make use of each review. As an individual with little experience and knowledge about the process, I took to researching, and understanding the key concepts. I particularly consulted the companies research team who could offer expert insights and facts that I could focus on.
Using an AI tool helped with the skeleton and first draft of the blog. This definitely assists with time and can also highlight certain facts or avenues that I might not have thought about, given that I am not a researcher myself (the main target audience). However, despite using a tool, there were still many iterations and further drafts to bring out the relevant facts, apply the right tone and feed the correct story.
The Results
Since its inception the blog has been had more than 172,000 impressions with a 1% click through rate. While a 1% click through rate is an average rate, this still means that over 1720 people visited the website as a result of this blog being found. That’s 1720 people who have learned something informative from the brand and may remember the brand name when it comes their service. That better than nothing.
The Lesson
Intent: Through this blog, I have learned about the importance of a reader’s intent and how it affects their interest and engagement with the information. While impressions are high and the click-through rate is average, the point is that the option is available for a reader to find the brand. I will be interested to see how AI will affect search intent and click through rate, particularly with informational intent key words and phrases.

FAQ
Despite shrinking attention spans, blog content for a website optimized for SEO serves many purposes. Blogs blend brand storytelling, search intent, and technical best practices, making the website easier to find, relaying the brand’s narrative, and encouraging user retention.
This depends mainly on the topic, audience, and budget. For example, someone who wants to understand a specific, technical topic in depth may wish to read a detailed and descriptive blog as opposed to someone who is simply scanning for some basic information about a particular subject.
Undoubtedly. Despite AI changing the status quo, SEO blog writing remains a powerful tool to attract, inform, and convert potential customers. It is now essential to ensure your content is optimized for AI and search engines. Strategic blog posts can drive organic traffic, showcase expertise and trust, and include calls-to-action (CTAs) that guide readers toward services, downloads, or sign-ups.
